Description

This Instant Pot Corned Beef is savory, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth tender—with a garlicky beer broth that cuts hours off traditional prep. It’s your shortcut to classic comfort with minimal effort.

Ingredients

2 cups water
1 (12 oz) bottle of beer (lager preferred)
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 (3 lb) corned beef brisket, spice packet included

Optional Add-ins:
1 onion, quartered
3 carrots, cut into chunks
4 small potatoes, halved
½ head of cabbage, chopped

Instructions

Set the Scene
Place the trivet inside your Instant Pot. Add water, beer, and garlic.

Spice Things Up
Rinse the corned beef (optional), place it on the trivet, and sprinkle the spice packet over it.

Pressure Time
Seal the lid. Cook on High Pressure for 90 minutes. Let naturally release for 15 minutes.

Optional Veggie Add-On
Remove the beef and keep it warm. Add vegetables to the pot. Seal and cook on High Pressure for 5 minutes. Quick release.

Slice & Serve
Slice corned beef against the grain and serve with veggies. Spoon broth over the top for added flavor.

Notes

Swap beer with beef broth or apple juice for an alcohol-free option.
Use only half the spice packet for a milder taste.
Leftovers make amazing sandwiches—just add rye bread and Swiss cheese!
